Hon'ble CM took a meeting on Gangasagar Mela yesterday. GBDA was entrusted with the job of keeping the Mela area clean and to put up additional lights. Incidentally, GBDA has been trying to connect Gangasagar with Bakkhali through Jambudweep and recently the UD has agreed to give approval of building a jetty at Jambudweep. An office at Bakkhali is also being set up. It is hoped that the tour Bakkhali-Jammbudweep-Gangasagar and back will be commissioned by November 2016 in co-operation with Forest Department.
