  2. The Bagjola canal water is extremely dirty and polluted due to sewers draining into it - is there any plan to rectify this situation / beautify the canal banks ?

  4. Sir,
Kudos for all the developmental work going on across New Town. I would like to request you to kindly plan/keep in mind the requirement of a road crossing/underpass across senior citizens park. Presently the road does not even have a cross over point from the 2nd to 3rd rotary.
    Thanking you,
    With Regards,
    Jayanta

  5. Truely impressive Sir.

However we have a small request -

On behalf of growing commuters from Unitech (New Town) to Bally Halt station, I would like to state the miseries of the unorganized and unpredictable means of transport (shuttle service) while commuting to and fro to office. Everyday we need to face this uncertainty of the shuttles who demand situational hikes in fares which leads to an argument and finally disruption of service at will. Buses like "DN-46" and "JM-1" from Karunamoyee is jampacked by the time it reaches Narkel Bagan and it is not possible to board them without risking one's life. Sometime back we saw an AC service to Bally Halt which after few days of running was withdrawn due to causes unknown to us. With almost all AC Bus routes plying to South Kolkata, we feel that there is an urgent need for a service to Bally via Airport from Unitech (if not AC then a normal bus service).

We would like to officially place a request/plea for a bus service from here to Bally Halt station via Airport. The bus to Dankuni via BT Road takes too long for people who wish to travel to Bally. I wish this draws your attention to this daily problem of ours.

In times of brawl with the shuttle drivers, we have even called up the New Town Police Station but have been denied support saying this is not their responsibility; but as per the shuttle drivers they have paid the police to turn it into a shuttle stand (should be visible from your office). On behalf of all i would request you to kindly take up this matter.

    1. I share your predicament. Why don't you take up with (i) RTO North 24 Paraganas and / or (ii) Transport Deartment (You can discover them on the net)

  6. Thank you Sir for noticing it. We have sent an e-mail to Mr Alapan Bandyopadhyay regarding the same, but we are not sure if he's the right person, but will wait for response.

  8. Sir
I have thoroughly checked the online portal of HIDCO & NKDA for the clarity on the issue of the determining authority for the building sanction plan for the proposed building of the 14.5 meters height in the Panchyat Area on Panchyat road. We have learned from various new portals and news papers that building above 15 meter height or Land area beyond 1 hectares need to go through the process of sanction via NKDA. Would you kind enough to throw light on this matter of final sanction authority or how to get details on process of sanction if we propose a small property development with proposed building height of 14.5 meters on a land mass of 1.35 acres in the Panchyat area for personal use.

  9. Sir,
Opposite to 5start hotel (West In ) in Jatragachi and DPS crossing, there is a muddy road going inside from express highway to the village. Just wanted to know if there is any plan to widen and make it pitch road/concrete road ? Your response will help us to know the future prospect of this area/village !!
